Parkinson's Disease
In this condition, degenerative changes are found in an
area of the brain known as the substantia nigra, which
produces dopamine, a chemical substance that enables
people to move normally and smoothly. In Parkinson's
there's a severe lack of dopamine, which causes the main
symptoms - tremor, rigidity, and slowness of movement (bradykinesia).
