Meals on Wheels of  Buffalo & Erie County, Inc. www.mowbuffalo.com  Meals on Wheels of Buffalo & Erie County, Inc. delivers daily nutritional meals and provides related support services to those in our community who have limited ability to shop and prepare meals for themselves.  Each day our volunteers deliver "Food and Friendship", helping the meal recipient to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

Town of Hamburg Senior Services - Contact Person--Shirley Spaulding @ 716-646-0255.  Located at 353 Pleasant Avenue in Hamburg, NY.  Each day offers review of news, weather and sports, gentle exercises, activities, crafts and games, hot lunch, rest and relaxation time, entertainment, afternoon snack.  Transportation is provided for Hamburg residents for $5.00 round trip.  Wheelchair bound patients is $10.00.  Fees are $40.00 full day, $25.00 half days. 

Weinberg Campus - Contact person-Deborah Popp @ 716-639-3311 ex. 2495.  Located at 2700 North Forest Road in Getzville, NY.   Website:  www.weinbergcampus.orgAdult Day Program, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Rehab and Nursing Home facilities.   Offers transportation to and from the day program.  Medicare covers and in the event of certain medical or rehabilitation needs, insurance can also cover. 

 

Western New York Independent Living Project (WNYILP) - www.wnyilp.org  At the Western New York Independent Living Project (WNYILP), individuals with all types of disabilities learn to exercise their freedom of choice in order to take control of their lives and live more productively in and contribute to, the community.  WNYILP provides a wide range of services from transportation to peer counseling , information and referral.  WNYILP also provides tours of Independent Smart House-a model home with five furnished rooms containing a variety of assistive devices.  For more information visit our web site or call our 24 hour information lines at 836-0822.
